@fribbledom Tough one, but Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis might be pretty much up there. If for more replayability, I enjoyed the original ADOM.

We'll make an exception, as Win 3.1 is really just a DOS program.

@fribbledom SOPWITH was my jam for a long time! https://archive.org/details/msdos_Sopwith_1985
@fribbledom I'm surprised no one's mentioned this one yet: Descent. It works in FreeDOS, too!
@fribbledom Monkey Island 2. Or maybe Transport Tycoon.
@fribbledom @phoenix Rick Dangerous and Commander Keen

Oh, I remember this one! The granny with the machine gun was hilarious!
Another memory from this game: I remember you could try and crack the bank vault, but if you failed the mini-game, it would trigger an alarm sequence on the PC speaker.
We used to play this as kids until late at night. Going for the vault was extra thrilling, because if you failed, it would also wake up our parents ๐คฃ
@fribbledom I can't tell if this is a call for opinion, or an arms up that your own opinions aren't appreciated. As such, I hope your opinion is worth sharing.
@fribbledom Master of Orion I
@fribbledom DOOM. Not even a question.
@fribbledom karateka ๐
@fribbledom Pinball Fantasies. I didn't play many DOS games though and I have nostalgia for this game
@fribbledom From what I have read so far there are so many cool games I have played. I remember also "Ports of Call" and "Vermeer" which I loved to death.
@fribbledom @bremner I feel like that's unfair. Sure, the series has a rough start. But I think that over all it's balanced out by how unexpectedly worse it got.
@fribbledom Civilization
@fribbledom Doom
@fribbledom
Settler II

Besides all that I have boosted, replied, favorited, there are 2 missing: lemmings and the lion king
@fribbledom all of the Sierra adventures, Dungeon Master and Kyrandia
@fribbledom Luckily, people have mentioned most I like best. But it seems nobody has mentioned Space Quest yet.
How about Wing Commander I and II?
How about Quake? It did have better frame rate on Linux, though.
@fribbledom Wing Commander and Privateer
@fribbledom
I just remembered one game: Paperboy. Has anyone ever played?
Of course!
