Shit πŸ˜…

@fribbledom hot damn. congrats.

@fribbledom How many mines left?

@c0debabe

Nono, see bottom center. 5 mines left.

@fribbledom fuck but to even make it that far on that large of a field is really good dude

@fribbledom The only winning move is not to play.

You will have to guess.

@Zergling_man

That means there are only two squares left that aren't a mine. One of them must be shared by the 3 and 4.

@fribbledom tough luck...

@fribbledom
the 2 on the left, on the flag's right, it's probable that spot has no bomb.

@fribbledom

Do the number of mines remaining at least tell you if that unknown down left corner is possible or not?

@yuki @fribbledom I believe that spot *must* have a mine. If there are 5 mines left in 7 cells, then we must assign two safe cells. The 3/4 pair requires one safe cell. The 5 has one safe cell around it, and no cells in common with the 3/4. That accounts for both safe cells, so the cell with no exposed neighbors cannot be a safe cell.

@kistaro @yuki

Spot on!

@JulieSqveakaroo

See next post, we're one step ahead!

@fribbledom The 3 on the right have 2 mines, the 2 on the top have 1 mine, that means that the two in the bottom left are mines. That means that the 4 in the corner now has 2 mines adjacent. Next, the top pair are the 50-50 chance, and the bottom 5 and 4 are a couple of 2/3rds chance of being a mine, so I would have gone with the far left remaining square not being a mine. Then, if that's not a mine, then the far right box is a mine, then you have another 50/50 chance.

@fribbledom I guess you already got that far though, haha.

@fribbledom
Not sure if you tried to clicked anything by now but you have exactly 3 possible combinations, 2 of which have no mine below the 4 on the left side.
The field on the bottom left and the one to its right definitely have bombs.

Actually, if I knew Bayesian statistics better, wonder of I could work out better odds than 2/3 ...

@faryam This image is not generated. It is a screenshot from a fairly well known game called "Minesweeper".

I still remember playing Minesweeper on a Windows 98 PC although this looks more like a Linux clone of the game to me...

Indeed, this is KMines!
