@shibao @kazriko My daughter said Shirobako was very relatable. She is a junior manager that organizes freelancers and apparently it happens exactly as Aoi Miyamori's job did. At least at the beginning... Miaymori made a brilliant career thanks to the power of the Main Character, hard work, guts, and convenient plot devices. But otherwise the same :-)

Sugie was a wish-fulfilment of an old UNIX nerd who programmed kernel in C, and was left behind by the blockchain, Kubernetes, and Rust. A dangerous, seductive character. It may be too early for you to relate to him, but trust me, he can deal some serious damage to an unprepared viewer.
Also, I knew a guy who latched on Ookura traveling to Asahikawa and said he also wanted to be a photohomo. I cry every time when I see him finishing the painting.
Oh and do you remember Nogame literally writing his struggle with Sailor F1 into girl team of 3rd Team, so then Kinoshita arrives to save him and essentially plays the role of Katerine's sister? Who even comes up with this stuff, it's amazing. The direction of the scene was out of this world.
Humor was great too. Attached is a screencap of Ai Kusunoki saying "Kore wa..." lololololol

@anime Yeah, I've caught up to what Mangadex has now, and it's pretty crazy how all the characters got twisted up in the comic.
