@surrealestate @DameAshley THANK YOU FOR DEFINING THE GENERATIONS!!!!!

This totally isn’t my biggest gripe right now at all or anything. Don’t worry about it.

@makeheroism @DameAshley You’re welcome?

@surrealestate lol, it’s really hard to tell if people are saying nice things to you on here. I’m hoping that @makeheroism is actually saying thank you. Otherwise that would just be mean. πŸ˜œπŸ˜‚

@DameAshley @surrealestate I’m being completely serious. People tend to have the idea that if you’re under 45 and older than 10 you’re a millennial.

So far dude in the clips is saying some wild stuff that I disagree with and can’t picture any of the millennials I know behaving how he’s describing.

They did give our kinetic sand to people at a job I had a while back though.

I think there’s a huge push for infantilization of employees generally though.

The series Severance really shows this

@makeheroism ahh, ok sorry! Lately some people have been kind of rude so my defenses are up a bit!

I thought it was an interesting show but it’s our show so I’m biased. I get annoyed when John and Adam talk about someone who is 20 and call them a Millennial. That’s just factually incorrect!

@surrealestate just lost his job where he was one of the older people to be let go so I’m not super happy with his Millennial boss.I am happy that Chris will stop imitating how they all talk though. Lol.

@DameAshley @surrealestate I do think that the corporate by-the-book millennials are WAY worse than some of the more β€œpunk” or fringe type millennials.

I’ve worked with those types. But most of my work experience is pretty blue collar warehouse work or doing audio work for mostly punk bands (who have now decided to all be pro establishment and mask up and 2x or 3x boost).

So I’m now thinking my experience is a lot more rare than before.

@makeheroism @DameAshley @surrealestate maybe there is a seriously large contingency of millennials that are β€œbasic” and bootlickers. And I’m out here fighting for a VERY small minority of the generation at this point.

Either way. I agree with you that it’s VERY annoying when John and Adam get this very basic concept wrong.

@makeheroism @DameAshley @surrealestate and EXACTLY how do we get it wrong? I do not think we've ever used the word "bootlicker" for starters.

@Johncdvorak @DameAshley @surrealestate oh you haven’t. That was my word. And it was more an open ended statement about people within my generation (millennials).

The only thing I think you get wrong is distinguishing millennials from zoomers. That’s the only criticism I have of you and Adam in these regards. I think a lot of your criticisms of both generations are justified though. Just that some criticisms of millennials could more accurately be attributed to zoomers.

@Johncdvorak @makeheroism @surrealestate I just think sometimes you guys call people in their early 20’s Millennial’s and they are actually Gen Z. Although I will say that having had to research it for my article it’s tough to get a consensus on when Millennials start. For example, I was born in 1980 and always thought I was Generation X, but according to many things I’ve read 1980 can be the start of the Millennial generation.

@makeheroism @DameAshley @surrealestate welcome to the club the bigger a-holes are the "Silent Generation" and their bigotry and BS is blamed on the "boomers."

@Johncdvorak @DameAshley @surrealestate hey I agree with that! I think boomers have largely taken the brunt of criticism where those before and after could’ve used a little more.

Overall I think what constitutes a generation should be around six years instead of double or more than that. But I don’t know anything about anything.

@Johncdvorak @makeheroism @DameAshley @surrealestate To those under 40, Boomer means everyone from Gen-X to the founding of the country.
