Is there an isekai where the guy just gets a gun? Like he's transported to a magical land with wizards and elves, and he wastes them with a .50 BMG.

It's not necessarily the best story, but it feels like a very good recruiting tool for the SDF at least.

@parker @Leaflord @Basedshibe Leaving GATE aside as a special case, I know at least 4 mangas off the top of my head (some may be based on LNs/WNs).
- Manuke FPS. That one is quite decent and I'm not yet tired on it. The guy uses weapons of gamers: starts out on P90 (but of course!), then SCAR, and even a Blowpipe. Sadly, the publication was kinda spotty, and I'm afraid it may get canceled. The art uses 3D, but it's not offensive.
- (Name Forgotten - sorry, I think I dropped off my library and I cannot find it anymore) The MC develops the guns we know by using magic as substitute for gunpowder and primers. He makes an S&W Model 10 (because Japan, duh), then AK-47, a nondescript sniper bolt-action, a PKM (which kinda made me laugh because the manga identifies it as shooting 7.62 NATO, while the illustration clearly is for the normal PKM in 7.62 Russian), a Faustpatrone, etc. It went kinda bad and annoying and I dropped it after getting too deep into it - some 50 chapters.
- A guy fights with what clearly is a Mosin, and his sidekick is a rabbit girl. He uses all kinds of magical bullets, like one that can restore health. So it's not really about guns as we know it.
- Astrid Cancels Death Flags With Modern Weaponry (or something). This is complete, I think. It was quote okay, in the villainess isakai subgenre. The MC is quirky in a good way. Not sure I like her final iteration of "gun", but hey.
A couple of isekais is set in some kind of tech-tinted word, which I'm not including because the MC is not introducing guns into that world. The Tough Life Of Mob is like that, as well as Isekai Uchuusen, and Isekai Tensei.
There's also an outstanding manga Galactic Navy Officer, where the MC has guns, but he's not isekai-ed in a conventional way, he's a cast-away (like in Gargantia).
I think I dimly recall the one that started this thread, but only dimly. Might be a false memory.

@anime @Leaflord @parker @Basedshibe@poa.st
The first thing the Arifureta guy does is build a gun.
Zero no Tsukaima had a LAW and at least one airplane.
