@union Actually, that's one thing Zeihan was talking about even before the Ukraine invasion. The fact that Russia sent peacekeeping troops into Kazakhstan and basically rushed them right to the terrain gaps to block them off from invasion.

@kazriko The joke is about the tens of thousands of Russian IT techs, programmers, and managers who crossed the mountain passes on bicycles, flooded Georgia and Kazakhstan. If they stick around, there's going to be an oppressed Russian minority, which Putin tends to use as an excuse.

@union Yeah, they'll have to eventually move further away if they want to be free of Russia. If they stay in the borderlands it's only a temporary escape.
