Anyone know what these paddles / controllers go with?
They came with my Colecovision, but they don't fit that directly (see odd connector in next post)
@retrotechtive looks like Apple II - early on, joysticks just plugged into a DIP socket on the motherboard
@polpo Thanks! I've never owned an Apple II so wouldn't know. I'd like to though!
@retrotechtive
No, but I have an identical set (well, except for the dust!) sitting here too.
I assumed they were a one-off homebrew adaption, so at some point I was going to cut the connector off and reuse them. But it seems they're specific to... something?
@rc2014 Apparently, I've just been told they're for the Apple II - which of course means I now need an Apple II 😄
@retrotechtive
Ah. Ok. That'll explain why I didn't recognise them. I'll have to find somebody with an Apple II to see if they work.
@retrotechtive
Oh, Jeez. Just looked them up on eBay.
Well, there's my retirement fund sorted out :-)
(Although completed listings vs asking prices are very different. Hashtag eBay)
@rc2014 Also, take look at Sold prices on eBay - seems these might be a bit sought after in some quarters!
@rc2014 ha, I just said similar - these actually sold for much more than my entire Colecovision purchase 😂

@kazriko Apparently so! I've never seen them before or owned an Apple II so had no idea.
@rc2014 @retrotechtive
Just reimplement them, lol.
@tibfulv
I should. But when there are Apple II lovers that want them so much that they throw money at people who have them for sale, it seems unfair to cut the connector off.

Never mind, seems it already exists:
