For years (long before the pandemic) I’ve wanted to build a telepresence bot that could fold itself up into a study, standard ups/usps-sized shipping box so I could just mail myself to attend or present at various conferences, events, etc.
I just imagine someone loading it off the UPS truck, it “transforms” from a box into a robot, gives the delivery person a nod and then roll-off to the show.
@requiem Most of the time at those events, the cell towers in the area get overloaded, and so do all the wifi, so be prepared to be severely throttled on the bandwidth.

@kazriko that’s a really good point . Some sort of autonomy (like a mars rover) should be part of the design…
