Hidden Variable Studios / Autumn Games made some relatively small changes to Skullgirls. To deal with sexualization, allusions to real-world hate groups etc. All the changes sound pretty sane.
Gamers: REVIEW BOMB, CENSORSHIP RAAAA
When will people grow up :(

@gamingonlinux I don't have high hopes for self-proclaimed "Gamers" to grow up ever.
@gamingonlinux
G*mers™? Nah
I nominate this incident for 2023's Annual End of Year List Article Festival, in the categories of:
- Fighting Genre and Fighting Genre Accessories Cringe
- "Politics in videogames! POLITICS IN VIDEOGAMES!"
- Notice-Me-Daddy Steam Review behaviour.
@gamingonlinux the issue is not that something was changed, but what was changed and how.
In the past there were changes to reduce the amount of fanservice, which initially wasn't met with lots of love, but eventually got accepted because it really was just a "meh" thing.
This time they are making changes that seem very random, like recoloring panties from white to black for one single shot, or removing content like the soviet announcer or entire pages of the 10$ artbook DLC.
Thats not quite ok
@gamingonlinux How is changing something in your own game, by your own hand, censorship?
@gamingonlinux I wonder how many of the people complaining had completely forgotten about having that game in their libraries, and had no plans of touching it again.
