πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦πŸ‡·πŸ‡Ί 63% of Ukrainians now say they know at least one close relative or friend who have died in the war, with the average number being three.

This is a huge increase from the last survey in February, which found only 17% of Ukrainians reported a loss, while the figure in September of 2022 was just 9%. This firmly suggests the Bakhmut Meat Grinder did its job and that the Ukrainian counter-offensive is going as poorly as previously thought.

@BobsonDugnuttHB The Globohomo is going to send Baltics and Polaks to war very soon. It's not going to end when they run out of Ukranians. https://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htworld/articles/20230629.aspx

@union @BobsonDugnuttHB I don't think that's how that works. I think they're preparing for war because they think Russia won't be satisfied with just Ukraine, and they'll want to push as close to their cold war borders as possible, which means taking the Baltics, Poland, Moldova and part of Romania.

@kazriko @BobsonDugnuttHB Moldova is a part of Romania. It appeared because it was occupied by the USSR, as a member of the victorious allies. In a way it's the same as East Germany, just lingered longer.

@union @BobsonDugnuttHB True, but it's also going to be a target before Romania proper, since it already has the start of the invasion force inside of it. Of course, to close off the geographic gaps, they'll need that one valley from Romania too.
