Need advice especially from middle age developers like myself. I am a then (now ) guy for the last 30 years. Have I or still am I missing out on not coding using emacs? I managed to get rid of in favor of the necessary plugins to keep me productive in modern day coding. I know it is just an opinion, but do you think it is worth it for me to: . Please share / boost

@tarek I'm a diehard vim user for about 25 years. I used Spacemacs for a while to get a feel for the emacs side and I liked it pretty well. I eventually moved back to vim but took some of the ideas back from spacemacs to my vim config (mapping leader to space, then adding some fzf/clap/etc bindings to spacemacs-like space commands) and I'm really happy. Give it a try... spacemacs was pretty easy to dive into because there's context sensitive help everywhere.

@tarek I was a vim user for ages, I still use it for remote systems, but for development I've gone to Helix. It's more of a lateral move though, it feels like vim, but changes the paradigm slightly to a mark first then run command rather than making the selection part of the command and I find it faster now that using vim.
