I feel for people managing Itch's community spaces at the moment. Hope everybody finds a way to be a touch more patient with people who aren't the ones making decisions and are doing their best to get on top of the situation
@Cheeseness the amount of hate being directed at itch is wild. I get people being upset about the situation, but if Valve couldn't resist, how can people expect itch to? Feels like people are taking for granted that it's an actually _free_ platform that gives an option to not even give them a cut of sales and probably only makes back operating costs at best (speculating here).
@selkcip Completely agree. I understand that people feel threatened, and that threatened people lash out, sometimes in the wrong direction. I'm certain that it's doubly frustrating and stressful that this isn't the first time, and slow communication has eroded trust. Even with that though, Itch deserves more patience IMO, and the volunteers managing community spaces absolutely do not deserve the shit they're receiving.
@Cheeseness What's happening?
@AlexLW Many people were/are rightfully angry about this situation, but taking it out on moderators, etc. and making Itch's community spaces generally unpleasant. Things seem to have calmed down a little over the past few hours, but I still see people telling each other to die, so you know, it's relative https://itch.io/updates/update-on-nsfw-content
