Always weird when the people I follow on mastodon.social are talking technology, and the ones on mastodon.technology are talking politics.

I'm somewhat surprised that you can't latch them without unbuckling yourself. If it's unlatched, that seems like the time you would least want to be unbuckled. You've lost one safety, for falling out, but you'd have to disable your second one to fix it... That is kind of boggling.

@chillja @fribbledom It has a specific meaning of a specific organized group of thugs here, it's not just "anti fascists." They're also the ones setting all of the fires, and inciting all of the riots and looting. Calling them "Anti Fascists" is like calling North Korea the "Democratic People's Republic of Korea." or a certain German state the "Holy Roman Empire."

@lastfuture @fribbledom I looked up the cost of 64 gigabit DDR4 chips. $55 in 1000 quantity. Almost all of the cost of that board is the memory chip. Honestly, if I got one of these it would just be for the novelty. It might be useful for running VMs on the board, but almost all of the uses I have for a Pi can be handled by the 2gb and 4gb models.
