@anime @tsugumi I certainly wouldn't want to spoil anything about it from beyond that image.

@anime That's great. I'm definitely adding that to the reading list. It's especially funny that his daughter is watching him do all this through her game. Loved the trick with dividing mistakes by 9.

@anime @tsugumi I just checked my first manga volume, and Episode 1 was chapter 1-3 and 5 almost exactly as they were in the manga, it was even closer to the manga than I had remembered, because I had forgotten a few of the things that happened. Roughly half the first volume in one episode. At that rate the Anime will probably pass by the content the Manga has released in the US so far.

@union I consider this possible, though even without it, we might have ended up with an invasion of Crimea, just because I don't know if Putin would tolerate the emergence of another petrostate in Europe, and the takeover of Crimea basically put the majority of Ukraine's oil reserves into Russia's hands.

@anime @tsugumi Really looking forward to more of this. Wondering how far the first season gets in the Manga.

@vidister I think if I were putting something that important on a long term storage medium, I might try a Millenniata MDisc Bluray. Their only real disadvantage is the 25 gig limit, and that those have never dropped in price as much as cdr/dvdr's, but they're much more resistant to bitrot. But a paper copy to go along with it is also a good idea for smaller things like keys and two factor backup codes.

@caarlos0 Yep, I actually used it in the last 4-5 years as well, you can still use it as your bootloader on Gentoo.

@stuff Hah. Seems like the kind of thing I expect from the gaming industry these days, completely useless, and often detrimental lighting.

@stuff The smell at olive garden probably varies by region. Here it's at least a reasonably clean establishment. There's hardly anything on their menu that I like anymore though.

Red Robin here, on the other hand, has very slow service here and still manages to mess up the orders a lot.

Outback here, the last time I had a steak there, had extremely tough steaks compared to Texas Roadhouse. It's probably due for another trial though. I like other things on their menu and usually get those when someone asks to eat there.

Here, all 3 of them have kiosks at the table now. I think Chilis was the first one around here that had them. Also Red Lobster has them here now as well.

@stuff My son isn't a huge gamer either, but he likes the RGB stuff... So I built him a ~10 year old FX6100 system with RGB fans, hubs, etc. He's happy with it aside from the lack of an RGB capable video card.

@ChateauErin @Cheeseness Could always do what TechConn calls it and say "slower, automated pour over" :)

@ChateauErin @Cheeseness A percolator is more like these: https://youtu.be/E9avjD9ugXc At least in the US, they're a much older technology, though similar. The main difference between a drip coffee maker and a percolator is if the water is cycled back through the reservoir and the grounds basket or not.

@Cheeseness @ChateauErin The percolators would boil water, and push it up a straw into a basket with coffee grounds in it. This is the old way of making coffee though, because the coffee would be boiled again after it was infused by the coffee grounds and taste burned. For the last ~45 years Drip coffee makers have been common, Engineer Guy had a video on this kind of coffee maker. https://youtu.be/4j4Q_YBRJEI

@Cheeseness @ChateauErin Honestly, it wasn't until I started drinking more tea and got into more traditional ways of making Ramen that I bought an electric kettle. Before that I just used a dedicated coffee maker. My mother drank tea quite a bit and just used a stove kettle for it. Now I use the teapot to make coffee as well, but it wasn't that way initially. (I use a Zojirushi teapot.)

@anime Drat. I just checked and now it's saying July 20th on Netflix. The trailer seems to be pretty true to the Manga though.

@anime Also, looks like it'll be on Netflix in 4 days in the US.

@anime Hopefully not. It would be terrible as a romcom.

@anime Is the anime out for that yet? I've been reading the Manga and wanted to watch the anime when it goes out.

@pro That must have been in a more optimistic time. At this point, every model of Pi is basically always out of stock. Occasionally you see someone selling an expensive bundle with a Pi 400 or a Pi Pico that is still in stock, but that's still rare. There was a time when Pi 3a and 3b were still in stock quite a bit because the Pi 4 had replaced them, but even those are gone now.
