@anime I'm more interested now in One Peace books. They've brought over 2 series I really like (Soudouki and Galactic Officer,) and 1 that I somewhat like (Farming life in another world,) out of all the ones I've heard about. I should look at their catalog and see if there's any others to buy.

@anime Though I can see that the original web novel has stopped updating, and the Manga is already 75%+ through the original story.

abeshinzo

@anime Yeah, I kind of got a glimpse of that with the end of chapter notes. Hopefully it brings in enough money with getting official english translations that it gives them a reason to keep at it, but probably not.

I've picked my next manga series to buy in dead tree form. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/164273201X It's basically Isekai Dahak, if you know what the Dahak series is. (Futuristic technology ends up on a more primitive planet, builds up its tech base until it can challenge the big bad aliens that are sweeping the galaxy to exterminate all life other than themselves.)

@union Yeah, they'll have to eventually move further away if they want to be free of Russia. If they stay in the borderlands it's only a temporary escape.

@union Actually, that's one thing Zeihan was talking about even before the Ukraine invasion. The fact that Russia sent peacekeeping troops into Kazakhstan and basically rushed them right to the terrain gaps to block them off from invasion.

@caarlos0 Nice, Pleroma just automatically followed the new account.

@union @benjaminhollon @mattdm Is it the chinese number combination for good luck? They pay a lot for license plates and things with more 8's on them. Or something related to back to the future?

@parker @Leaflord @Basedshibe https://mangadex.org/title/57dbd8a6-86c3-40af-bb28-9bfb931e7d0a/bocchi-jieikan-no-isekai-funsenki Bocchi Jieikan no Isekai Funsenki, the most patriotic of Japanese manga. It's not necessarily the best story, but it feels like a very good recruiting tool for the SDF at least.

@requiem That seems like a job for CollapseOS. Then it's relatively portable across several 8-bit chips.

@anime Yeah, I didn't find it that compelling after awhile. I still have it on my read list but it's definitely not one that I'll seek out actual books of, unlike Isekai Tensei Soudouki or So I'm A Spider, So what?

@coolboymew @anime @Mek101 Yeah, I've found several of those when random-walking the mangadex recent updates and randomly browsing webtoons. I try to read them but they usually just annoy me and get dropped.

https://mangadex.org/chapter/5d798d87-37a1-4376-a654-daa58284b13f/18 See, this is how you do it. you put the system in the ziploc bag, so you don't damage it... and so you die of just regular drowning from exhaustion instead.

https://mangadex.org/chapter/d16b7ff8-ca91-4fe5-bc2a-50c2c25ef228/3 Seems someone doesn't know the ziploc bag trick for kindles and such. Though, I have a hard time believing that the 3-7v batteries in tablets could do that.

@anime @coolboymew @Mek101 The most amusing otome villainess one I found that didn't have that in the title was https://mangadex.org/title/96471a2c-59f3-4a08-be7d-640bc0c022a4/may-i-ask-for-one-final-thing It totally goes in a different direction from all of the others.

@anime @coolboymew @Mek101 I should do the same, After you sent that akuyaku reijou tensei ojisan manga out, I started going out to similar titles and found quite a few that I enjoyed, but I haven't added every last one yet.

@ademalsasa I think Python, Java, and C++ have all been largely equally profitable for me. I have slid between them pretty much continuously since around 2003 in my professional career. I've only had to deal with PHP twice.
