@requiem Mostly? Historically, they've largely been executed by their fellow revolutionaries over minor sectarian differences. Of course, it's pretty rare to have a civilization that thrives after a revolution, especially a violent one.

@gamingonlinux @davidak I think the people following GamingOnLinux are mostly Linux people on Fediverse. ;)

https://mangadex.org/chapter/7a9e6802-d7ad-4191-80d7-cdbf82303c23/11 Pages like this one really do show a comic's age. Haha. Of course, since this whole thing has a lot to do with real estate, the prices probably show the age as well, but I don't know the tokyo real estate market.

@ademalsasa HP Color Laserjet M452dn. I wouldn't have picked it myself, but it was tossed out by a company I worked for, so I grabbed it and got it working again. Works pretty well, I have it out in the garage, and print to it over the network. Pretty much worked out of the box with Artix and other Linux distros.

@stuff Yeah, running your own company is always a gamble. On a good month I might get double what I was making at my day job, on a bad month I might get nothing. Most of the time I'm getting just a bit below what I was making at the day job, but with far less hours.

@stuff I'm married here at least... I know a decent number of married people on the Discord servers I'm in. I haven't asked the people on Fediverse though.

@avia It depends on the trade. Some of them can be quite lucrative, such as oil field or drilling workers, or some welders. Even more lucrative if you're working for yourself. But at the same time, it is much harder work physically than what you'd get from a college degree and often less stable since corporations tend to try and keep their office workers and highly educated workers over the people at the bottom when things get rough.

@union I think Rimmy Down Under broke it down in his early videos. That Nazis were a problem in pretty much every eastern European country (including Russia,) but they're not a majority or even a major factor in any of them either. He put the numbers at a few thousand in Ukraine's military. Of course, it's the National Socialist party, so even if they hate their president for who he is, if he's doing a good job defending their national sovereignty they'll support him until the external threat is removed. He, of course, isn't of their party, and their parties got shellacked in the last election.

@stuff @Moon When I started my prior job in 2016, we still had a lot of people in the office, but by 2018, it was basically just me there most of the time and everyone else started working from home, so my schedule shifted later. Then they closed the office in 2021 and my schedule became entirely unmoored from business hours because of it. Contract work now doesn't need to be on a schedule at all.

@anime @coolboymew They really have gotten pretty good at cel shaded 3d style, shame about the motion capture being so bad, but good mocap is expensive.

@anime Definitely, I suspect almost every culture has names that go in and out of fashion with the generations.

@stuff @Moon These days, I'm just about going to sleep around 9-10am, I'd probably start the print at midnight and monitor it all night, and water the plants before going to sleep if I had more than one bed of plants.

@Johncdvorak @makeheroism @DameAshley @surrealestate To those under 40, Boomer means everyone from Gen-X to the founding of the country.

@deprecated_ii A Subaru channel that I follow says that if you ever see one of these on a used Subaru, that means there's some other major problem on it like a head gasket leak that they're trying to patch together. Basically pressure buildup where pressure shouldn't be building up under normal operation. Under normal operation, the default included spring clips should be sufficient.

@anime @maxmustermann I haven't been there myself, and since they aren't fully open it may be awhile before I can go, but I always assumed that it was more of a joke about having unrealistic expectations. Nothing can ever live up to every anime, so there's always going to be someone disappointed if they thought it was like a particular one.

@maxmustermann Always reminds me of this comic when I hear about people from Japan going to Paris. https://www.webtoons.com/en/slice-of-life/bluechair/ep-172-paris-syndrome/viewer?title_no=199&episode_no=236
