@union I think Rimmy Down Under broke it down in his early videos. That Nazis were a problem in pretty much every eastern European country (including Russia,) but they're not a majority or even a major factor in any of them either. He put the numbers at a few thousand in Ukraine's military. Of course, it's the National Socialist party, so even if they hate their president for who he is, if he's doing a good job defending their national sovereignty they'll support him until the external threat is removed. He, of course, isn't of their party, and their parties got shellacked in the last election.

@stuff @Moon When I started my prior job in 2016, we still had a lot of people in the office, but by 2018, it was basically just me there most of the time and everyone else started working from home, so my schedule shifted later. Then they closed the office in 2021 and my schedule became entirely unmoored from business hours because of it. Contract work now doesn't need to be on a schedule at all.

@anime @coolboymew They really have gotten pretty good at cel shaded 3d style, shame about the motion capture being so bad, but good mocap is expensive.

@anime Definitely, I suspect almost every culture has names that go in and out of fashion with the generations.

@stuff @Moon These days, I'm just about going to sleep around 9-10am, I'd probably start the print at midnight and monitor it all night, and water the plants before going to sleep if I had more than one bed of plants.

@Johncdvorak @makeheroism @DameAshley @surrealestate To those under 40, Boomer means everyone from Gen-X to the founding of the country.

@deprecated_ii A Subaru channel that I follow says that if you ever see one of these on a used Subaru, that means there's some other major problem on it like a head gasket leak that they're trying to patch together. Basically pressure buildup where pressure shouldn't be building up under normal operation. Under normal operation, the default included spring clips should be sufficient.

@anime @maxmustermann I haven't been there myself, and since they aren't fully open it may be awhile before I can go, but I always assumed that it was more of a joke about having unrealistic expectations. Nothing can ever live up to every anime, so there's always going to be someone disappointed if they thought it was like a particular one.

@maxmustermann Always reminds me of this comic when I hear about people from Japan going to Paris. https://www.webtoons.com/en/slice-of-life/bluechair/ep-172-paris-syndrome/viewer?title_no=199&episode_no=236

@anime @tsugumi I certainly wouldn't want to spoil anything about it from beyond that image.

@anime That's great. I'm definitely adding that to the reading list. It's especially funny that his daughter is watching him do all this through her game. Loved the trick with dividing mistakes by 9.

@anime @tsugumi I just checked my first manga volume, and Episode 1 was chapter 1-3 and 5 almost exactly as they were in the manga, it was even closer to the manga than I had remembered, because I had forgotten a few of the things that happened. Roughly half the first volume in one episode. At that rate the Anime will probably pass by the content the Manga has released in the US so far.

@union I consider this possible, though even without it, we might have ended up with an invasion of Crimea, just because I don't know if Putin would tolerate the emergence of another petrostate in Europe, and the takeover of Crimea basically put the majority of Ukraine's oil reserves into Russia's hands.

@anime @tsugumi Really looking forward to more of this. Wondering how far the first season gets in the Manga.

@vidister I think if I were putting something that important on a long term storage medium, I might try a Millenniata MDisc Bluray. Their only real disadvantage is the 25 gig limit, and that those have never dropped in price as much as cdr/dvdr's, but they're much more resistant to bitrot. But a paper copy to go along with it is also a good idea for smaller things like keys and two factor backup codes.

@caarlos0 Yep, I actually used it in the last 4-5 years as well, you can still use it as your bootloader on Gentoo.

@stuff Hah. Seems like the kind of thing I expect from the gaming industry these days, completely useless, and often detrimental lighting.

@stuff The smell at olive garden probably varies by region. Here it's at least a reasonably clean establishment. There's hardly anything on their menu that I like anymore though.

Red Robin here, on the other hand, has very slow service here and still manages to mess up the orders a lot.

Outback here, the last time I had a steak there, had extremely tough steaks compared to Texas Roadhouse. It's probably due for another trial though. I like other things on their menu and usually get those when someone asks to eat there.

Here, all 3 of them have kiosks at the table now. I think Chilis was the first one around here that had them. Also Red Lobster has them here now as well.
